Warwick Economics Summit 2021 announces partnership with Governance Center for Public Policies
The official website of Warwick Economics Summit 2021 announced a partnership with Governance Center for Public Policies (GCPP), which is an independent think tank based in Baghdad, Iraq. Founded in 2010.
The Summit (WES2021) is an international conference held annually since its inception in 2002, attracting distinguished and inspiring speakers from all over the world. The focus of the summit goes beyond the field of economics, to encompass the broader fields of social sciences, including development, politics, journalism and international relations.
This wide scope and diversity is what distinguishes the summit from other events, ensuring that it remains relevant and in tune with the broader issues of the day. The summit has hosted many prominent personalities over the past years, among them six Nobel Prize winners, as well as a number of prominent academics, officials in international organizations, and former prime ministers and heads of states.
The event is led and run by students of Warwick University, which aims to gain insight and experience from distinguished experts as well as communicate with attendees.
Governance Center for Public Policies (GCPP) is participating in this summit through the National Index for Democratic Transformation in Iraq, which is published annually by our center, and has received the attention of the summit organizers. as well as cooperation in publishing and promoting the conference’s activities in the Iraqi academic community, and attracting the attention of distinguished university students in Iraq to communicate with the summit organizers and join the virtual seminars of summit, which will be held this year for three days for the period 5-7 February.
It is noteworthy that prestigious international universities participate in this summit, the most prominent of which is Columbia University in the United States of America.
