A process of constitutional amendment is currently being carried out by three sides, which are Iraqi parliament council, the Council of Ministers, and the Presidency of the Republic, in response to the demands of the protest movement in Iraq, as well as the demands of different parties during previous periods, Despite the many problems in the constitutional amendment, one of The most important problems facing these amendments is the division of constitutional jurisdictions in the Iraqi federal system, in view of the overlap, lack of clarity, and the numerous weaknesses in the constitutional text of the federal system which consists of (capital, Federal regions, Local governments ,and local administrations) according to Article (116), Currently, these problems are divided between three levels: the federal government, local governments, and Kurdistan autonomous Region(KRI), and given the contribution of the Governance Center for Public Policies(GCPP) to one of the joints of this national effort, and to support the participation of civil society organizations in the constitutional amendment process, The advisory Board of our center has developed infographics entitled: dividing the executive powers in Iraqi federal system According to the 2005 constitution.
This figure is considered the first initiative in Iraq on the division of constitutional jurisdictions in the federal system with infographic, in the hope of stimulating and enriching the discussion on the subject among specialized elites, Decision-makers, and civil movement, as well as encouraging the use of modern technologies in constitutional issues in Iraq.
